Job summary

At Tallow Steakhouse in New York, we seek a Busser to help keep the dining room immaculate and the service flowing smoothly. You’ll support servers, clear and reset tables, and assist in delivering food and beverages with timely pacing.

This role contributes to the elegant pace and presentation that define Our House. Join the opening team at Shaver Food Hall, Midtown’s newest culinary destination, where craftsmanship, collaboration, and pride shape every guest moment.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to understand and communicate using basic English.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Maintain a valid Food Handler’s Certification in the state of New York.

Responsibilities

• Support servers and the front-of-house team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining room.
• Clear, reset, and polish tables swiftly and neatly between courses and seatings.
• Assist in delivering food and beverages, ensuring smooth pacing and timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in service stations, dining areas, and side work zones.
• Monitor water and beverage levels, anticipating guest needs before being asked.
• Collaborate closely with servers, hosts, and management to uphold the flow and timing of service.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment while embodying Tallow’s signature warmth and hospitality.
• Treat Our House with pride — taking ownership of your section and the details that define it.
