Job summary

Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant in Honolulu is seeking a Busser for part-time shifts (morning and evening) to support servers and kitchen staff and maintain a clean, welcoming dining area.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from the minimum wage to tips, with potential extra earnings based on sales. Pre-employment screens and vaccination proof may be required. Growth opportunities and employee discounts are included.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and managing trash disposal.
• Restock service stations with necessary supplies such as napkins, utensils, and glassware.
• Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth communication and timely service.

Salary Range: $14.75 To $16.00 Hourly

Busser Part-time (Morning Shift 10:30am-2:30pm, Evening Shift 5pm-closing), cross-train as Dishwasher

Busser Hourly Pay $14.75 (Minimum Wage less Tip Credit) + approximately $5 to $15 per hour in tips, depending on sales and shifts worked, higher tips on weekend shifts.

As a Busser at Gyotaku Niu Valley, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment that enhances the overall guest experience. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant by assisting the servers, cashier hosts, cooks and management team. This role requires a proactive attitude and attention to detail to help maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact guest satisfaction and the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service in the competitive accommodation and food services industry.
