Location: Water Pig Pensacola Beach

We are looking for a Busser/Food Runner to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen and wait staff. The Busser/Food Runner is also responsible for setting tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promote a positive work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly and professionally.
• Ensure guest comfort by answering questions, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and making suggestions based on their preferences.
• Deliver food to guests at the correct table and time, efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and specials.
• Arrange table settings before guests are seated.
• Buss tables, clean, and sanitize them after guests leave.
• Ensure guests are satisfied and address any issues promptly.
• Follow all health regulations and customer service guidelines.
• Attend to guests efficiently and courteously.
• Collect used dishes and utensils and return them to the dishwashing area.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Clean spills, restock, wipe down tables and chairs, sweep floors, etc.
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
• Maintain a professional and hospitable manner.
• Keep the work area clean, healthy, and safe, following sanitary practices.
• Support team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety and quality regulations.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues when possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, hospitality preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or scheduled form.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
• Proficiency with computers and operating software preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
• Team player attitude.
