Job summary

DeMarco's Italian in Greenville, SC is seeking an energetic busser/food runner for dinner service Tuesday through Sunday. You will prepare tables, serve orders, explain meals, and support kitchen-wait staff collaboration.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and communicates well. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided to ensure outstanding guest service and smooth dining room operation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with queries, requests, and redirecting as necessary.
• Ensuring that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset between seatings.
• Serving food and refilling beverages as required.
• Assisting with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware.
• Replenish server stations with silverware, glasses, and plates.
• Reporting any damages, shortages, and complaints to the manager.
• Moving tables, chairs, and furniture to accommodate customers as needed.
• Tidying the restaurant after service and ensuring that it is prepped for the following service.
• Deliver food orders to guests using seat numbers.
• Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles.
• Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues.
• Inform management of customer feedback.

Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic and professional busser/food runner to join our vibrant restaurant. We are a dinner only restaurant open Tuesday through Sunday. You will perform a range of tasks including preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and wait staff.

As a busser/food runner, your ultimate goal will be to provide our guests with outstanding customer service and actively help to improve their overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
