Job summary

Northfield Park Racino is seeking a Busser to maintain the restaurant and support guest service. You will collaborate with servers, prepare tables, and ensure cleanliness of dining areas and beverage stations.

Responsibilities include table turnover, sanitizing surfaces, serving water and coffee, and keeping floors tidy. Prior bussing or food running experience is preferred and legal work eligibility in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of busser or food runner experience preferred.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers to ensure guest service.
• Polish flatware and set up tables with silverware, glassware, linens, condiments and accessories.
• Clear, clean, and sanitize tables and reset with linens, ashtrays, candles and glassware.
• Remove dirty dishes and trash; transport to the kitchen for proper washing.
• Coordinate table availability and communicate with staff to turn tables efficiently.
• Serve water, coffee and soft drinks and refill as needed.
• Keep dining room floors clean and debris-free.

Description

The primary responsibility of the Busser is to maintain the entire restaurant, including the dining room, storerooms, food pick up area, and beverage station according to established cleanliness and stock standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with servers to ensure proper guest service
• Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas
• Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed
• Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles
• Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently
• Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
• Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris

Requirements

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Work Experience

• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Bus or Food Runner Preferred

Additional Requirements

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays Required
• Experience working in a similar resort setting Preferred
