Job summary

Northfield Park Racino is hiring a Busser to maintain a clean dining area, assist servers, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will polish flatware, reset tables, and coordinate table turnover with the service team in a fast-paced resort setting.

Required duties include clearing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, serving non-alcoholic beverages, and ensuring health and sanitation standards are met. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a busser or food runner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with servers to ensure proper guest service.
• Polish flatware, set tables with silverware, glassware, linen, condiments and accessories.
• Clear, clean, and sanitize booths, tables and cushions; reset with linens and table items.
• Remove dirty dishes and trash; assist kitchen as needed.
• Coordinate table availability with staff to ensure turnover.
• Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks and refill as needed.
• Keep dining room floors clean and debris-free.

Description

The primary responsibility of the Busser is to maintain the entire restaurant, including the dining room, storerooms, food pick up area, and beverage station according to established cleanliness and stock standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with servers to ensure proper guest service
• Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas
• Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed
• Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles
• Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently
• Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
• Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris

Work Experience

• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as a Bus or Food Runner Preferred
