Job summary

Restaurant 604 in Hawaii seeks a restaurant busser to support front‑of‑house staff by setting, clearing, and resetting dining areas while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for diners. You will assist servers to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include adhering to policies, maintaining attendance, meeting sanitation standards, and promptly assisting with table duties and side-work as outlined in the Bus Person Training Manual.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Must be able to stand and maintain fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours.
  • Must possess the manual ability to handle/serve food.
  • Must have a valid health card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and “General Policies and Procedures” section of the Bus Person Training Manual.
  • Maintain a positive attendance record: report to work at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled shift, find replacements for no more than 5% of shifts, follow time-off and illness procedures, and have a 0% no-call/no-show record.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety standards; maintain a score of 90% or better on sanitation and safety audits.
  • Meet all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards specified in the Employee Handbook and Bus Person Training Manual.
  • Maintain guest service philosophy: follow guest service standards and maintain a customer complaint ratio of less than 1 per 100 customers served.
  • Understand the company table numbering system and be able to identify delegated table assignments 100% of the time.
  • Greet guests and serve water and bread to the table within 3 minutes of guests being seated.
  • Perform side-work correctly as specified in the “Side-work Duties” section of the Bus Person Training Manual.
  • Follow all end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy as specified in the “End of Shift/Checkout Procedures” section of the Bus Person Training Manual.
  • Buss, set, and reset tables following company procedures within 3 minutes of guests leaving.
  • Maintain a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side-work when needed and/or when available.

Job Summary
