Job Summary:The Busser is responsible for cleaning and resetting tables in a professional and effective manner while providing a consistent and sustainable environment. They help support servers and service staff with refills and clearing tables while providing guests with food and beverage service as well as maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the restaurant.Essential Job Functions:Consistently offers professional and friendly serviceSet up and stock assigned work area by following the established fine dining service standards and procedures.Help servers inspect stations for proper set-up and appearanceMaintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils and refilling water glassesClear and reset tables within established standard timing and guidelinesAssist in serving coffee, tea, water, bread, butter, and other food and beverageAssist server with all aspects of service as required while maintaining work area in a professional mannerClean service stations, fill ice bins, and restock storage and fridge items according to established par levelsAssist with set up and breakdown of dining room facilities.Retrieve china, silver, glassware and other stewarding items form stewardingPolish and store equipment as designatedAble to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rulesPreferred Qualifications:Effective communication skills, verbal and writtenAbility to maintain composure and stay focusedAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as a team, stay organized, handle various tasks at one timeMust be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkersMust possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help othersProfessional presentation and positive attitudeMust have excellent knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functionsMust be self-motivated and customer service orientedPhysical Requirements:Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quicklyAbility to stand for prolonged periods of time.
