Job summary

THE SMITH in Chicago is seeking an energetic Busser to support the dining room and ensure smooth service flow. You will reset tables, maintain cleanliness, and assist servers while upholding hospitality standards.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication, a passion for hospitality, and a willingness to go above and beyond to make guests smile. Bartender experience is a plus.

THE POSITION: BUSSER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reset and prepare tables quickly and efficiently to support the flow of service

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and restocking service area


• Support servers and runners by assisting with water service, bread service, and general table maintenance


• Anticipate the needs of guests and the service team to ensure a smooth dining experience


• Work collaboratively with all Smith team members to maintain pace and hospitality standards


• Uphold all food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements


• Assist with opening and closing side work, including stocking, polishing, and cleaning
