THE SMITH in Chicago is seeking an enthusiastic Bartender to welcome guests, craft cocktails and beverages, and provide attentive service in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a collaborative team, uphold safety standards, and contribute to a warm, inviting dining experience. Previous bar experience and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates hospitality excellence and guest-first approach.
• Clear, friendly communication with guests and colleagues.
• Works well in a fast-paced dining/bar setting.
• Prior bar or beverage service experience preferred.

THE POSITION: BARTENDER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome each guest at the bar and create an inviting environment
• Communicate with guests in a warm, professional manner, ensuring they feel valued and well cared for
• Work collaboratively with all Smith team members to support a seamless guest experience
• Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for both bar and dining room guests, following standard recipes
• Maintain a strong understanding of responsible alcohol service and ensure compliance at all times
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, proactive service throughout their experience
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service
• Uphold all food safety, handling, and sanitation standards to ensure the safety of guests and team members
