Job summary

White Lodging is hiring a Busperson at JW Marriott Indianapolis to support servers and ensure tables are clean and ready. You will learn to assist with the host stand, communicate effectively with the team, and deliver courteous service to guests.

The role emphasizes hospitality, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance into server responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tables are clean and properly set and assist the Food Runner when necessary.
• Work closely with servers and assist with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage delivery.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality; remain professional and friendly.
• Learn to operate the Host Stand.
• Know menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; answer guest questions accurately.
• Perform opening and closing duties and all cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Process all payment methods.
• Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance as an ambassador of the establishment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• A Busperson will ensure that all tables are clean and properly set while also assisting the Food Runner when necessary
• Work closely and maintain excellent communication with servers. Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage delivery
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality. Exhibit professionalism and friendliness at all times
• Learn to operate the Host Stand
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes. Accurately answer any guest questions
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned
• Process all payment methods
• Be an ambassador of our establishment by maintaining a neat and professional personal appearance
• Perform other duties as assigned
