Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Mississippi is seeking friendly, capable restaurant service professionals to join our team. You will provide fast, attentive service to guests, ensure clean tables, restock supplies, and collaborate with servers and host/ess to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires excellent communication, basic math, reading and writing English, and the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract) required.
• Able to work the required schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, friendly, professional customer service to guests, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
• Adheres to department and property policies for guest service standards.
• Maintains par levels of operating supplies and restocks as needed.
• Removes dirty dishes and wipes tables; clears and resets stations.
• Keeps buffet line clean and sanitary; maintains safe work areas.
• Assists servers with refills and service duties as required.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and equipment according to safety standards.
• Deep cleans restaurant equipment and service stations as scheduled.
• Removes refuse and debris according to procedures.
• Resolves service issues per guidelines.
• Assists in Bar/Beverage set-up.
• Maintains confidentiality in all company matters.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, food servers, and restaurant host/ess.
• Adheres to established departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Maintains par levels of operating supplies (china, flatware, glassware, utensils), condiments, and paper supplies for each service station, obtaining replacement stock in accordance with procedure.
• Removes dirty dishes, soiled linen, glassware, and flatware from table and counter tops, and transports items to designated area and cleans tables (wipes) and seats.
• Ensures that the buffet line is clean and sanitary.
• Resets tables with silverware, linen, napkins, and glassware in accordance with established restaurant tabletop specifications.
• Assists servers in their duties (e.g., refills water glasses and coffee cups, helps serve food orders, attends to guest needs) as required.
• Wipes counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
• Deep cleans restaurant equipment (e.g., coffee machines, soda and juice dispensers, ice bins), service stations, and refrigerators as scheduled, or required.
• Maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Removes and properly disposes of all refuse and debris accumulated in restaurant and service stations in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Resolves service issues according to established guidelines.
• Assists in Bar/Beverage set-up.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
