Job summary

Northern Trust in Montecito, CA is seeking an office-based administrator to provide cross-functional support across multiple business units. You will assist with client servicing, data gathering and reporting, and help maintain essential business systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, operational, logistical and project support across multiple business units on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate action plans for client servicing and ensure execution and follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of business applications critical to relationship management.
  • Participate in inter-discipline training; act as a technical resource for others.
  • Participate in planning and administration of the business unit.
  • Collect, compile and analyze data for reports and presentations.
  • Create formal reports for the business unit and update manuals and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve problems within established guidelines; refer complex issues to supervisors.
  • Work well as part of a team and independently; strive for proficiency across roles.

The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Inclue
  • Under direct supervision responsible for providing administrative, operational, logistical and project support across multiple business units on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversees development of appropriate action plans for client servicing and coordinates with other team members across disciplines to ensure execution and follow-up.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of various business applications critical to relationship management including client on-line tools.
  • Participates in inter-discipline training within the office/region. Acts as a technical resource or expert for other account managers on process or procedures for delivery of service.
  • Participates in the planning and administration of the business unit.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data and information for reports and presentations for the department.
  • Runs and creates formal reports for business unit. Updates manuals, procedures, etc.
  • Responsible for identifying and resolving problems within established guidelines.
  • Expected to use some initiative but refer more complex problems to supervisors/experts.
  • Works effectively as a team member but also independently.
  • Working towards becoming proficient in all areas of the job.
The Successful Candidate Will Benefit From Having

  • Previous years of experience, or equivalent, in financial servicing/accounting fields with client servicing background.

Salary Range

$64,170 - 102,810 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
