Horvath & Tremblay is seeking a Business Technology Lead to manage the day-to-day execution of the firm's technology strategy, projects, systems, and technology operations as we continue to scale our national commercial real estate platform.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position for an individual who combines strong management and project execution skills with a practical understanding of technology. The Business Technology Lead will be responsible for translating business priorities into actionable technology initiatives and ensuring those initiatives are successfully implemented across the organization.
The successful candidate does not need to be a software engineer or deep technical specialist. Instead, we are looking for an exceptional operator, manager, problem-solver, and communicator who can coordinate internal resources and outside partners, establish accountability, manage competing priorities, and consistently drive projects through completion.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Business Technology Lead will serve as a primary point of coordination between the firm's leadership, brokerage teams, operations, finance, technology staff, and external technology partners.
We are looking for an individual that can excel in a fast-paced environment. Day-to-day functions include but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes ownership. When a business problem or technology initiative is assigned to them, they organize the right people, establish a plan, identify obstacles, communicate clearly, and drive the initiative through completion.
They are comfortable moving between strategic and tactical responsibilities — presenting a technology roadmap to senior leadership in one meeting and working directly with a vendor or employee to solve an implementation issue in the next.
They are curious about technology and enthusiastic about the opportunities created by artificial intelligence and automation, but they are equally focused on execution. They understand that successful technology is not simply about selecting the right software; it is about improving processes, gaining employee adoption, maintaining high-quality data, and producing measurable business results.
Above all, this individual will bring accountability, organization, urgency, and follow-through to Horvath & Tremblay's technology initiatives as the firm continues to grow nationally.
