If you are highly motivated with business tax preparation experience and excellent communication skills, we need you to help our customers complete their taxes using TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, possessing strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations, with significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.

What you'll bring

• Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season, using commercial tax software.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year, preferred.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is preferred.
• Ability to obtain or possess relevant state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology, including computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to meet security criteria for internet connection.
• Reside in the United States.

How you will lead

• This is a virtual, customer-facing role using our video communication software (Smartlook).
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice, full-service return preparation, product inquiries, tax calculations, and filing extensions.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence through empathy and expertise.
• Leverage resources and team knowledge to deliver accurate answers in everyday language.
• Follow procedures to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
• Document interactions and work towards key performance metrics.
• Participate in pilot tests, projects, and validations as needed.
