Job description

Business Systems Consultant (Job Code: GJ0521)

Perform requirements gathering, data pipeline reviews and development, data analysis, data mapping, logical data modeling, functional design, and data quality improvements.

Review, build, and maintain data pipelines that efficiently move data from various sources to the data storage system using Python, Informatica PowerCenter, and IICS.

Gather and document business requirements for MDM initiatives, working with business stakeholders to identify data needs and define use cases for data access and integration across the enterprise.

Design and implement MDM systems that meet organizational needs, including selecting and configuring MDM software, defining data mappings and transformations, and developing data validation rules and processes.

Integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data store, designing and implementing ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient data transfer.

Ensure data security and compliance with privacy regulations by implementing access controls, data encryption, and adhering to standards.

Maintain and optimize system performance, monitor for bottlenecks, and apply upgrades to ensure stability and reliability.

Communicate with stakeholders and end-users to promote understanding of MDM concepts, data governance, and system functionality, including providing training and support.

Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, monitoring data quality over time.

Write SQL queries to validate data in backend systems.

Collaborate closely with end users, ETL developers, Data Modelers/Architects, Report Developers, and functional teams.

This role may be performed remotely.
