Ensign Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Business Systems Analyst – Workday Financials to join our Finance-based support team. You will optimize and maintain our Workday Financials system to support financial operations and strategic objectives.

You will partner with Finance and Payroll, translate business needs into functional specs, participate in tests and UAT, and document processes. Onsite at our San Juan Capistrano center; a strong background in finance, accounting, and Workday is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, IT, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in business analysis or similar role in a tech-driven environment.
• Proven Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
• Workday Financials configuration knowledge.
• Experience with system implementation and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Workday Financials certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements with Finance, IT, and stakeholders for Workday solutions.
• Configure and maintain Workday Financials to meet evolving needs.

Position Type: Full Time, exempt employee.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 annually; DOE.

Location: This position based onsite at our Service Center in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst – Workday Financials to join our team. As a key member of our Finance-based business support department, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and maintaining our Workday Financials system to support our financial operations and strategic objectives.

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Finance and Payroll stakeholders to document business needs and translate them into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and other stakeholders, to gather business requirements and translate them into Workday Financials solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance the Workday Financials system to meet evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Financials, providing guidance and support to end users and troubleshooting system issues.
• Develop and execute test plans, conduct system testing, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
• Monitor system support (help desk) tickets, document new requests, triage and document issues and communicate with end users timely.
• Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, evaluating their impact on existing configurations and processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
• Collaborate with vendors and consultants as needed to implement new modules or functionality.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, recommending and implementing system enhancements and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, Workday updates, and financial system advancements to provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Reports to Manager Business Systems, Finance.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in business analysis, technical analysis, product delivery, or a similar role within a technology-driven environment with heavy emphasis on business process and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proven experience as a Workday Financials Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday Financials configuration and functionality.
• Experience with system implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Workday Financials certification (preferred).
