Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a student intern in La Crosse, Wisconsin to support the business operations team with system and process support. This on-site internship requires year-round availability while attending school full-time.

You will log support calls, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and contribute to testing and project work within a dynamic environment. Candidates must be enrolled in a related program and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student graduating after December 2027.
• Must be enrolled in a 2-year or bachelor's program in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Business Administration, CS or related field.
• Business system experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Log in and respond to support calls.
• Troubleshoot/resolve transaction issues and coach users on processes.
• Identify problems and provide resolutions for applications.
• Observe and document malfunctioning software.
• Create/update user guides and process documentation.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for deployments.
• Lead or assist with project work in operations support.

What's In It For You

This internship is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Applicants must currently reside in the La Crosse area in order to be considered, as the position requires year-round availability while attending school full time.

Work within the business operations support team to assist our field organization in process/application support of multiple business systems and processes

What You Will Do

• Log in and respond to support calls.
• Troubleshoot/resolve transaction issues and coach user on appropriate process tasks and system functionality available to achieve their objectives.
• Identify process and application problems and provide resolutions.
• Observe and document malfunctioning software.
• Create user guide documentation and update existing process documentation.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for application deployment.
• Lead and/or assist with project work within business operations support.
• Complete application setups.

What You Will Bring

• Must be a full-time student graduating after December 2027.
• Must be enrolled in a 2-year accounting, finance, management information systems, business administration, computer science, or related program OR in a bachelor's degree program in accounting, finance, management information systems, business administration, computer science, or related discipline.
• Business system experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Must be able to work well and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
