Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team in Katy, TX. You’ll partner across business and technology teams to solve complex problems and deliver solutions that improve how we design, build, and operate global industrial facilities.

You will work with stakeholders to understand IT needs, manage a focused backlog, map processes, and lead testing and requirements activities to drive adoption and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a business systems analyst or similar role.
• Experience delivering software solutions end-to-end with business and technical teams.
• Understanding of how software solutions are designed, configured, and delivered.
• Experience partnering with software vendors or development teams.

• Prioritize a focused backlog and deliver the highest-value work on time.
• Map processes, run gap analyses, and identify opportunities to improve and innovate.
• Facilitate stakeholder conversations and translate technical detail into business insight.
• Validate logic / configuration, and lead pre-release and user acceptance testing.
• Gather requirements and write clear user stories and functional specifications.
• Support the OPD application portfolio through onboarding, enhancements, and adoption.
• Support change control and keep system documentation and compliance current.
• Stay current on relevant technologies and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a business systems analyst or in a comparable role.
• Experience delivering software solutions end‑to‑end with business and technical teams.
• Working knowledge of how software solutions are designed, configured, and delivered.
• Experience partnering with software vendors or development teams to solve business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting platforms or solutions in the EPC environment.
• Experience with data & analytics governance and tools (e.g., Snowflake, SQL, PowerBI).
• Experience with AI literacy and utilization.
