Job summary

FastTek Global in Irvine, CA seeks a seasoned Business Systems Analyst 3 to maintain and develop Oracle EPM Cloud Financial Systems, migrating objects from development to production, and delivering root-cause analysis to improve end-user experience.

You will work with management and end-users to enhance application functionality, build cubes and planning apps, and lead testing and documentation efforts across Oracle EPM Cloud modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or related field.
• 8+ years in IT programming with 5+ years in Oracle EPM Cloud.
• Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud modules and planning applications.
• Strong problem solving, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and patch Oracle EPM Cloud, troubleshoot issues, and provide root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain BSO/ASO cubes, planning apps, rules and forms.
• Lead requirements docs, test plans, and UAT support.
• Coordinate with management and end-users to improve processes and performance.

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: Maintain and Develop Oracle EPM Cloud Financial Systems. Facilitate the migration of Oracle EPM Cloud objects from Development to Production environments. Provide problem-solving and technical support for all Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System components and troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis. Work closely with management and end-users to enhance application functionality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support & Maintenance
  • Identify, implement and test patches and upgrades and maintain up-to-date documentation of Oracle EPM Cloud-related configuration.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve process, functional and technical issues.
  • Investigate issues in reports or cubes and provide root cause analysis.
  • Recommend corrective actions for technical systems issues, taking into account user needs and IT resources.
  • Import and manipulate data from multiple disparate systems (SQL based, Flat files, Oracle EPM Cloud Enterprise, Essbase, Oracle).
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and utilization.
  • Maintain Accounting structure and outline metadata for online reporting.
  • Schedule reports and scripts for automated runs.
  • Provide user support, security and other ad hoc requests.
• Development
  • Create, modify and maintain BSO and ASO Essbase cubes in Oracle EPM Cloud.
  • Create, modify, and maintain Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Applications.
  • Create/Maintain automation scripts, and maintain responsibility for creating and updating system documentation.
  • Develop standard Smartview or Oracle EPM Cloud reports based on user specifications.
  • Develop and/or modify calculation scripts, business rules and Planning forms.
  • Create load rules, batch, and scripting.
  • Create and maintain security, security filters and OCI Identity Managment.
  • Work closely with management and end-users to develop and enhance the application processes to create a stable, productive environment.
• Project Leadership
  • Lead business requirements documentation and ensures requirements and technical design are well documented
  • Interface with users to gather requirements and document clearly for development
  • Develop test plans, test scripts, and procedures then lead the execution of testing cycles
  • Supports User Acceptance Testing of new features and functionality
  • Propose and advise on long term system planning and improvements
  • Designs, modifies and reviews functional and system design specifications for business systems
  • Monitors Oracle EPM Cloud Team deliverables to make sure tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet department goals. Tracks these items in Jira

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in the IT programming field.
• Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, Fusion Edition.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Oracle EPM Cloud experience and systems administration for the following Modules in a cloud environment:
  • Oracle EPM Cloud Performance Management
  • Oracle EPM Cloud Planning
  • Oracle EPM Cloud Shared Services
  • Oracle Data Management (EDM)
  • Oracle EPM Cloud Narrative Reporting
• Experience with Financial and Operations Performance and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of Groovy, Business Rules and Calc Scripts, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle EPM Cloud Reports, and Smartview.
• Expertise in Microsoft applications preferred, including Microsoft Windows, Project, Excel, and Word.
• This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
• Must possess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with users on a daily basis to ensure project requests are accurate and timely.
• Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
• Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
• Works on problems of diverse to complex scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of variable factors.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
