Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Description

Loan Star Hedge Fund Services is a specialized provider of fund operations solutions supporting a prominent multi-strategy credit hedge fund with over $3.0 billion in assets under management.We are seeking a technically proficientBusiness Systems Analystto develop and support applications for all aspects of fund administration in a modern financial services organization, including trading, risk reporting, fund accounting, margin and cash management, and investor relations.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications and workflows that underpin the functions of the fund. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and demonstrable experience working with SQL and enterprise-grade systems.

You will work directly with the COO and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization. This is a high-exposure role with excellent long-term growth potential.

Requirements:

- Strong SQL proficiency required including experience working with large datasets and writing complex queries and procedures

- VBA / advanced Excel skills

- Proven ability to analyze data and business processes to identify areas for improvement.

- BA/BS in computer science/mathematics/finance

- 2-5 years experience; although other highly skilled applicants will be considered

- Ability to work independently is a must

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Familiarity with financial instruments, fund structures, and investment lifecycle.

- Knowledge of other (C, Perl, Python, etc) a plus

- Knowledge of Bloomberg APIs, Tableau, or Crystal Reports is a plus, but not necessary
