Northwest Partners is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to contribute to a large‑scale digital initiative for a top insurance organization. This role will focus on the analysis, configuration, and support of enterprise‑level billing systems, leveraging Guidewire BillingCenter to deliver impactful technology solutions.
What YOU will do
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to coordinate portfolio activities
- Perform systems analysis and create technical and functional design documentation
- Support application testing, including user acceptance testing
- Maintain subject matter expertise in BillingCenter implementation
- Lead complex change management initiatives such as training, documentation, and production readiness
- Guide the configuration and implementation of BillingCenter solutions
- Provide procedural support, ensuring compliance with security and corporate policies
- Contribute to estimation and design processes during early project phases
- Mentor business systems analyst peers to improve team capabilities
- Manage production tasks, including triage, troubleshooting, and data analysis using SQL
- Support compliance and product‑related data requests
- Participate in deployment support and monitoring activities
What YOU will bring us
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business systems analysis
- At least 4 years of experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite
- Minimum of 2 years recent hands‑on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter
- Expert‑level knowledge of property and casualty insurance systems
- Strong understanding of non‑standard auto insurance preferred
- Demonstrated ability to document workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle and BillingCenter configuration
- Experience in behavior‑driven testing, including clock‑based testing scenarios
- Expertise in post‑production support and defect analysis
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence; knowledge of ServiceNow and AWS is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed based on project demands
