Staffing Spot, Inc. is seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to bridge business requirements and technical solutions in Charlotte, NC.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, developers, QA, and other technical staff to analyze needs, define requirements, and support successful technology deliveries. The role demands 7 years of BA-type experience, strong SQL, REST APIs, and solid documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field (CS/IT/Engineering/Business).
• 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, QA engineers, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in solution design discussions and evaluate proposed technical solutions against business requirements.
• Work with development teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional or technical issues.
• Support QA teams in test planning, test case validation, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, or BI tools and validate data requirements.
• Understand and document APIs, system integrations, data flows, and database interactions.
• Create process diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and system interaction documentation where required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and impacts associated with requirements and proposed changes.
• Support production releases, implementation activities, and post-production issue analysis.
• Ensure requirements are traceable from business need through development, testing, and implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, web services, and system integrations.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio/Lucidchart, and MS Office.
• Ability to create process flows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau and data visualization.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working with microservices, enterprise applications, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and software development practices.
• Experience in a specific domain such as Banking, FinTech, Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, or E-commerce is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certification are desirable.
