KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Project Manager / Business Systems Analyst (PM/BSA) - Salesforce | Techno-Functional
Position Summary:
The Business Solutions Lead (PM / BSA) will own and drive business application workstreams across the company's Business Technology function, with an immediate focus on Salesforce Sales Cloud. This role serves as the critical link between business stakeholders, internal technology resources, and external implementation partners - translating business needs into well-defined requirements, managing scope and delivery, and holding stakeholders and vendors accountable for execution.
This is a techno-functional role combining business analysis, project execution, stakeholder management, and enterprise application knowledge. The Business Solutions Lead does not need to write code but must be technically fluent enough to understand how enterprise applications work, distinguish configuration from customization, challenge unnecessary complexity, and effectively manage technical implementation partners.
The role will initially focus heavily on Salesforce, with opportunities to expand into additional enterprise applications, data initiatives, and AI/automation projects over time.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce & Business Application Ownership
- Own and drive Salesforce Sales Cloud workstreams from request through requirements, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and external Salesforce implementation partners.
- Support a highly customized Salesforce Sales Cloud environment focused primarily on contacts and opportunity management, with hundreds of active sales opportunities and thousands of qualifying opportunities moving through various stages.
- Understand the existing Salesforce environment and associated business processes to effectively evaluate requested changes.
- Determine whether business needs can be addressed through existing Salesforce functionality/configuration or require customization/development.
- Challenge unnecessary customization and identify opportunities to simplify business processes or leverage native Salesforce functionality.
- Maintain visibility into application changes, releases, testing, and post-deployment validation.
- Expand support over time into additional enterprise business applications and initiatives.
Requirements & Business Analysis
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand needs, workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Gather, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications, use cases, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation requirements for external partners and technical resources.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently defined before development begins and validate that delivered solutions meet the agreed-upon business need.
- Document business unit workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Coordinate UAT, track defects to closure, and confirm stakeholder sign-off.
- Drive assigned business application initiatives from requirements through completion, keeping scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables on track.
- Manage external implementation partners and hold vendors accountable to documented requirements, timelines, and commitments.
- Run disciplined project and working meetings, establish clear action items and ownership, and follow through to completion.
- Identify risks, blockers, scope changes, and delivery issues early and elevate when appropriate.
- Maintain visibility into in-flight work, priorities, ownership, and target dates.
- Coordinate releases, deployments, testing, and post-deployment validation as needed.
Stakeholder & Scope Management
- Build productive relationships with sophisticated and demanding business stakeholders while maintaining appropriate structure and discipline around technology delivery.
- Manage competing requests and changing requirements without allowing uncontrolled scope expansion.
- Communicate clearly and diplomatically when requests need to be reprioritized, deferred to a later release, or further defined.
- Facilitate productive conversations between business and technical teams and ensure decisions, requirements, and commitments are clearly documented.
- Keep meetings focused and drive stakeholders toward decisions and actionable next steps.
AI, Data & Automation Initiatives
- Support emerging AI, data, and automation initiatives as the Business Technology function expands these capabilities.
- Work with business units to document current workflows and identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation and process improvement.
- Gather and document requirements for AI and data-related projects and coordinate execution across business and technical stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation related to AI use cases, integrations, and business workflows as needed.
- Develop familiarity with the company's evolving AI and data environment; prior hands-on AI engineering experience is not required.
Operational Ownership
- Own visibility into the Salesforce release pipeline, including planned changes, release status, and deployment readiness.
- Maintain SOX change records and supporting documentation for applicable application changes.
- Own and maintain the AI use case intake register, including request status, ownership, and next steps.
- Maintain the API and integration inventory across relevant enterprise applications.
- Prepare and distribute the recurring status package covering workstream progress, milestones, risks, decisions, and open actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of combined project management and business systems/business analysis experience supporting enterprise application initiatives.
- Demonstrated project management experience owning technology initiatives from requirements through implementation and delivery, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience managing external implementation partners or technology vendors and holding them accountable to requirements, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and validating detailed business and functional requirements.
- Experience translating business needs into specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, or similar implementation documentation.
- Strong techno-functional experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, including the ability to understand and evaluate configuration, customization, workflows, and business processes without requiring hands-on development expertise.
- Ability to determine when a business requirement can be addressed through standard Salesforce functionality/configuration versus requiring custom development.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to push back diplomatically, manage scope, establish priorities, and work effectively with demanding or highly technical stakeholders.
- Ability to run structured project meetings, drive decisions, establish ownership and action items, and maintain momentum through completion.
- Strong written communication, documentation, organization, and follow-through.
- Located in the Detroit / Southeast Michigan area and able to attend periodic in-person meetings up to four days per month.
Preferred Experience:
- PMP certification or other recognized project management certification.

- Exposure to NetSuite or Agiloft.
- Experience supporting data, integration, AI, or automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with APIs and enterprise system integrations.
- Experience working with technical stakeholders in engineering, R&D, or other highly technical business environments.
Scope:
This role owns execution and coordination of assigned business application workstreams while partnering closely with the Director of Business Technology on priorities, escalations, resourcing, and broader portfolio decisions. The PM / BSA is expected to independently drive requirements, stakeholder alignment, vendor execution, and delivery while escalating decisions that require leadership involvement.
