Job summary

EDSI is seeking a Business Services Professional in Michigan to build and maintain a robust job bank by connecting with local employers and program participants. The role includes documenting job responsibilities, assessing candidate skills, and aligning openings with qualified job seekers.

You will engage with businesses, organize job descriptions, and support workshops, leveraging strong communication and teamwork to expand opportunities for participants and strengthen community employment

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales or business experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience or knowledge in providing career development assistance is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in business, education, human resources, or related area preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and an automobile are required.

Responsibilities

• Establish working relationships with local employers and interact with hiring personnel.
• Solicit job openings from employers and create detailed job descriptions for the job bank.
• Review participant employment skills and match with active positions in the job bank.
• Record job responsibilities and task data in the project database.
• Enter all employer data and position descriptions in the job bank.
• Assist with workshop activities as needed.
• Network with area business organizations.
