Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Manage budgets by tracking transactions, reconciling financial records, ordering supplies, and processing financial systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Business Officer to monitor office funds.
  • Oversee the student payroll process, including entering EPAFs and ensuring accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of departmental programs and events.
  • Schedule and manage Orientation Leaders during training and orientation periods.
  • Support professional staff searches by coordinating interviews and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain an orderly office environment and track inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication.

Programs generate an intentional connection for thestudents through engaging interactions with other students, facultyand staff.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Business Services Coordinator of Transition Programs isresponsible for maintaining accurate budget records, providingdetailed financial reports to the Director, and indirectlysupervising 4-6 student employees who manage incoming emails, phonecalls, and greet visitors. This role oversees the payroll processfor over 100 students, manages office operations, supports eventssuch as First-Year and Transfer Orientation and Commencement, andmaintains inventory for large-scale programs. The coordinatorensures high-quality customer service to students, families,faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relateddiscipline; or an equivalent combination of training andexperience. All degrees must be received from appropriatelyaccredited institutions.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and practice with Banner FinancialSystem.
  • Superb organizational skills, effective written and oralcommunication skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively andaccurately in a high energy fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of complex procedures, policies andregulations.
  • Understanding of basic financial and accountingprinciples.
