Business & Securities Litigation Associate Location: San Diego, CA A leading global law firm is seeking a 2nd-6th year Associate to join its Business & Securities Litigation practice in Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial litigator to join a sophisticated disputes practice handling complex, high-stakes matters. The team is particularly interested in associates with experience in technology litigation, class action defense and company-to-company disputes, although specialist experience in these areas is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial and business litigation


• Work on sophisticated business and securities disputes


• Draft substantive motions, briefs and other litigation documents


• Conduct complex legal research and analysis


• Manage multiple high-level assignments and case workstreams


• Work closely with partners and senior litigators on significant matters


• Oversee junior associates and professional staff where appropriate


• Take increasing responsibility for the management and progression of matters

Who You Are

• 2-6 years of significant litigation experience


• Complex commercial litigation background


• Litigation experience at a comparable law firm


• Technology litigation, class action defense and/or company-to-company disputes experience is preferred, but not required


• Experience managing project-based work and multiple sophisticated assignments
  
• Experience working with and overseeing junior associates and professional staff


• Strong academic record from law school


• Excellent analytical, research and writing skills


• Admitted to the California Bar

Compensation

Salary Range: $235,000 – $390,000

Final compensation will depend on experience, skillset and geographic location.
