Position Overview

At Regions, the Business Resilience Engineer helps the organization prepare and adapt to business disruptions from cyber threats to natural disasters, while maintaining critical bank operations, and safeguarding people, processes, and tools. This role involves designing and implementing resilience strategies to improve the organization's ability to evolve, anticipate, withstand, and recover from various disruptions, including cyber-attacks and natural disasters. The engineer supports incident response and recovery activities, working closely with the Business Resilience manager to test and refine business process resilience plans. Additionally, they drive analyses and testing of IT response and recovery activities for technology disruptions.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Enhance the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) methodology and lead BIA sessions with business units to prepare for disruptions, including cyber security.
2. Partner with process and technology owners to develop, test, and refine cyber recovery strategies and technology recovery capabilities.
3. Identify process interdependencies within Business Units and determine Regions’ critical paths.
4. Plan, coordinate, and administer resilience exercises with business leaders to ensure operational and cyber resilience.
5. Develop and update process maps reflecting efforts to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats, maintaining situational awareness.
6. Ensure frameworks, processes, procedures, and exercises comply with FFIEC regulations.
7. Assist in developing communications such as proposals, reports, presentations, and procedures for management.
8. Develop and maintain metrics on business resiliency, readiness, crisis, and incident reporting.
9. Create comprehensive reports on resiliency testing, deficiencies, and follow-up actions.
10. Research current business resilience trends and assess their applicability to Regions Bank.
11. May serve as a resource to less experienced associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management/Response, Cyber Security, IT Risk Management, IT Audit, or related fields.

Preferences

• Relevant certifications such as CBCP, CISSP, CISA, or CISM are strongly preferred.
• Experience with business impact analyses, cyber risk assessments, recovery strategies, and resiliency documentation.
• Experience with automation and reporting tools like SharePoint, JIRA, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Additional Information

This position is primarily remote, based in Birmingham AL, Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, or Charlotte NC, with occasional on-site requirements.

This role may be filled at a higher level depending on candidate qualifications and experience.

Compensation

Pay ranges are provided as a reference and vary based on experience, skills, location, and performance. The target salary range for this role is:

• Minimum: $107,571.75 USD
• 50th Percentile: $130,580.00 USD

This position is not incentive eligible.
