Job summary

Whatnot is hiring a Business Recruiter to support our Operations teams, including Customer Experience, Trust & Safety, and Fraud. You will own the end-to-end high-volume recruiting process, partnering with hiring managers to scope roles, design strategy, and deliver top talent across multiple openings.

We offer flexible work options with remote and hub offices, and expect candidates to live within commuting distance of our US hubs in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Seattle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle high-volume recruiting experience for operations teams (CX, Trust & Safety, Fraud).
• Proven ability to hire at high volumes and manage multiple roles simultaneously.
• Sourcer at heart with ability to nurture passive candidates.
• Data-driven with pipeline health metrics and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong commitment to diverse hiring and inclusive interview practices.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments is a plus.

Role

We’re Looking To Hire a Business Recruiter For Our Operations Teams (including Customer Experience, Trust & Safety And Fraud). You’ll Have The Opportunity To

• Lead high-volume hiring for Operations. You’ll own searches across CX, Trust & Safety, and Fraud, often managing 10–15+ open roles at once.
• Be a true partner to the business. You’ll work with hiring managers and leaders to scope roles, shape hiring strategy, and guide decisions.
• Source creatively. You’ll find top talent through channels beyond LinkedIn and try new ways to reach candidates.
• Own the end-to-end process. You’ll run kickoff through offer and close, with clear rubrics, strong JDs, and a thoughtful, inclusive candidate experience.
• Build for scale. You’ll improve recruiting processes as we grow, using candidate and stakeholder feedback, and share what works with the team.

We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in‑person time for planning, problem‑solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Seattle hub.

As Our Next Recruiter, You Should Have At Least 2+ Years Of Full-cycle High Volume Recruiting Experience, Ideally For Operations Teams (including Customer Experience, Trust & Safety, And/or Fraud), In Fast-paced Environments, Plus

• You have proven experience as a full-cycle recruiter and know how to manage the entire process of a candidate end to end.
• You love hiring at high volumes. You deliver hires consistently and push through when the market seems to have run dry.
• You're a sourcer at heart. You enjoy sourcing for your positions and take pride in nurturing and building relationships with passive talent.
• You are data-focused. You measure pipeline health to balance your priorities and set hiring manager expectations.
• You're comfortable with ownership. Whatnot is one of the fastest-growing startups in history, and hiring is key to our success. You should feel comfortable moving uncomfortably fast, managing multiple roles, and being accountable for your work.

Compensation Range: $104K - $140K
