The Business Readiness & Quality Assurance Analyst provides cross-functional quality assurance, user acceptance testing, release validation, and business-readiness support for Georgia's vital records program. The position works between business operations, Informatics, information technology, vendors, and end users to confirm that system changes, enhancements, reports, interfaces, workflows, and related operational changes meet documented requirements and are ready for implementation. The Analyst develops and executes structured testing, documents and tracks defects, validates data and business rules, evaluates operational readiness, and maintains evidence supporting implementation decisions while protecting confidential and personally identifiable information.
This position is the dedicated business-readiness and quality-assurance resource within the Data Quality and Informatics function and supports multiple vital-records domains rather than a single program portfolio. The Analyst independently plans and performs routine-to-complex testing and readiness activities within approved standards, identifies defects and operational risks, and recommends remediation, retesting, or additional readiness work. High-risk releases, unresolved material defects, policy decisions, acceptance of significant operational risk, and final production authorization are escalated to the appropriate manager, program owner, or technology authority.
Bachelor's degree in public health, health information management, informatics, information systems, computer science, business administration, data analytics, or a closely related field and professional experience in quality assurance, user acceptance testing, business analysis, system implementation, data validation, or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
State of Georgia employees are subject to the rules of the State Personnel Board regarding salary. DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid.

Relocation assistance is not provided. In the event of an identified emergency, you may be required, as a term and condition of DPH employment, to assist in meeting the emergency responsibilities of the department.
DPH is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodation in its services, programs, activities, and employment for individuals with disabilities. To request a reasonable accommodation for the application or interview process, email include DPH-ADA@dph.ga.gov.
