Job summary

Oliver James Group in Stamford, CT is seeking a Business Project Manager to lead complex transformation initiatives from planning through implementation. Hybrid work model with three days onsite in the Stamford area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project or program management experience.
• Strong Property & Casualty insurance experience.
• Experience supporting Underwriting, Claims, Operations, or Finance.
• Proven experience leading complex business and technology transformation projects.
• Experience with UAT, requirements gathering, system implementations, and process improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and dependencies simultaneously.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
• PMP, Scrum, or similar certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple transformation initiatives from planning through delivery.

• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
• Support application modernization, system migrations, and process improvements.
• Lead requirements gathering, UAT planning, and implementation activities.

• Identify project risks and drive issues to resolution.
• Provide clear project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex transformation initiatives from planning through implementation.

• Leading multiple business and technology projects across the P&C organization.
• Partnering with Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Technology, and other key stakeholders.
• Managing project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery.
• Supporting application modernization, system migrations, and business process improvements.
• Leading requirements gathering, UAT planning, and implementation activities.

Compensation

$106,000-$178,000 base salary
