POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacy Benefit Services (PBS) Operations Business Product Owner (BPO) acts as the key interface between the business sponsor, or client, and technology teams to drive high ROI and efficiency across divisions and enterprise-wide initiatives. This individual is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of business requirements for new and modified applications and products. The Business Product Owner collaborates with Technical Product Owners (TPO) to develop business requirements from ideation through to production and oversees projects.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Extracting requirements from business sources
2. Discussing business intent and requirements with technical teams
3. Influencing technical design of applications
4. Guiding technical support

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

• Define business requirements with stakeholders and technical teams for new or modified applications
• Manage relationships with business stakeholders to scope and shape IT projects that align with business strategies
• Translate business needs into IT solutions, support project delivery, and ensure objectives are met
• Solve problems independently by interpreting procedures
• Understand and monitor key business performance indicators impacted by IT activities
• Document business processes and conduct data quality assessments
• Lead discussions with stakeholders, track deliverables, and communicate progress to leadership
• Facilitate issue resolution collaboratively
• Participate in portfolio prioritization and manage workload to meet deadlines

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years experience in program management or as a product owner
• Knowledge of Agile methodology preferred
• Ability to work with diverse teams, including remote locations
• Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn business processes
• Basic understanding of application development and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and requirements elicitation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Remote work requires internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.

Salary range: $94,400 - $157,400 annually, plus potential bonuses. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
