Heartland Consulting seeks Business Process Automation Analysts to spearhead automation initiatives for federal and commercial contracts. The role focuses on identifying repetitive processes and delivering UiPath and Power Platform powered solutions, including OCR document processing and SharePoint integrations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on RPA experience, proficiency with UiPath and Power Automate, and a knack for building dashboards and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT, CS, data analytics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building automated processes with RPA and workflow automation.
• Experience delivering production automation solutions integrated with SharePoint, databases, or APIs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RPA/workflow automation solutions.
• Develop attended and unattended automation using UiPath.
• Build Power Automate cloud and desktop flows for approvals and notifications.
• Develop document-processing solutions using OCR and intelligent document processing.
• Automate repetitive activities across email, files, spreadsheets, portals, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor automation performance.
• Create Power Apps and SharePoint interfaces supporting automated processes.
• Implement logging, alerts, and operational monitoring.
• Create technical documentation, process maps, and automation runbooks.

Position Summary

Heartland Consulting is seeking Business Process Automation Analysts for anticipated federal and commercial contract opportunities involving robotic process automation (RPA), workflow automation, intelligent document processing, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.

Ideal candidates will have hands‑on experience identifying repetitive business processes and developing automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RPA and workflow automation solutions.
• Develop attended and unattended automation solutions using UiPath.
• Build Power Automate cloud and desktop flows for approvals, notifications, workflow orchestration, and exception handling.
• Develop document-processing solutions using OCR and intelligent document-processing technologies.
• Automate repetitive activities involving email, files, spreadsheets, portals, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor automation performance.
• Create Power Apps and SharePoint-based interfaces supporting automated business processes.
• Implement logging, alerts, exception handling, and operational monitoring.
• Develop technical documentation, process maps, SOPs, and automation runbooks.
• Support testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions.

Desired Software & Technical Experience

• UiPath – RPA development and automation
• UiPath Orchestrator – deployment, scheduling, and monitoring
• UiPath Document Understanding – OCR and document-processing automation
• Microsoft Power Automate – cloud and desktop workflow automation
• Microsoft Power Apps – applications supporting automated processes
• Microsoft Power BI – automation monitoring and reporting
• Microsoft SharePoint – document, list, and workflow integration

Experience with SQL, Python is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing or supporting production RPA or workflow automation solutions.
• Experience with UiPath, Power Automate, or comparable automation platforms.
• Experience automating document processing, email processing, data entry, reconciliation, reporting, or other repetitive processes.
• Experience integrating automation solutions with SharePoint, databases, APIs, or enterprise systems.
• Strong business process analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing technical documentation and process maps.
• Federal government, DoD, financial, or other regulated-environment experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business, data analytics, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience-preferred.
