What You'll Do:

As a Business Process Automation (BPA) Analyst within the IT department, you will design, build, and implement automated solutions across Coastal Ridge's departments to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Working closely with the IT leadership team and cross-functionally with property management, finance, HR, and operations, you will transform manual processes into streamlined, automated workflows. Using modern tools—including RPA, Power Automate, PowerShell scripting, AI technologies like Claude, and low-code platforms—you will eliminate manual tasks, reduce errors, and empower our associates to focus on higher-value activities that support our residents and investors.

Where You'll Work:

Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, our corporate offices overlook the Columbus Commons which plays host to over 200 events throughout the year. Enjoy the building's fitness center and rooftop terrace with adjoining clubroom and walk to some of the city's best restaurants and downtown amenities.

What You'll Own:

  • Process Mapping & Analysis: Interview team members across departments to understand and document how tasks are currently performed ("As-Is" workflows). Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and documentation that capture the end-to-end activities, decision points, and data flows.

  • Business Process Improvement (BPI): Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, manual workarounds, human error risks, and repetitive tasks that waste time and resources. Provide recommendations for automation opportunities.

  • Designing Automation: Design and build automated workflows using tools like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Power Automate, PowerShell scripting, AI, low-code platforms, and other business automation solutions. Translate process improvements into technical implementations that reduce manual effort and errors.

  • AI Tool Integration: Assess and implement AI-powered tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to augment automation capabilities, improve decision-making, and accelerate process execution. Design workflows, electronic forms, dashboards, and other solutions that leverage AI to enhance business operations.

  • Testing & Implementation: Conduct thorough testing of new automated workflows and solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and perform reliably. Implement solutions in production environments and manage the transition from legacy processes.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Corporate Operations, Training, PropTech, Finance, HR, and other departments to solve complex problems and identify automation opportunities that span multiple business functions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor automation performance post-implementation, gather feedback from users, and identify opportunities for refinement and scaling across the organization.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience; certifications a plus).

  • 4-7 years of experience in business process automation, workflow automation, RPA implementation, or operations optimization, with exposure to IT systems and technology implementations.

  • Experience with process mapping, documenting workflows, and creating workflow diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools).

  • Hands‑on experience with business process automation tools (Power Automate, N8N, Zapier, RPA platforms, or similar); demonstrated ability to design and build automated workflows.

  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and/or SQL, Python, similar languages.

  • Experienced with data analysis and visualization tools; ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflows, particularly Claude or similar large language models, and how to leverage them in automation solutions.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems integration; experience with ERP, property management software (such as Entrata), or cloud platforms is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to conduct effective interviews, present technical findings clearly, and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Who You Are:

  • The Problem Solver – You have a natural curiosity about how things work; you ask great questions, spot inefficiencies others miss, and you're energized by finding elegant automation solutions to complex problems.

  • The Collaborator – You build strong relationships across IT and throughout the business, listen carefully to stakeholder needs, conduct insightful interviews, and foster buy‑in for automation initiatives by involving the right people at the right time.

  • The Automation Enthusiast – You're passionate about automation and technology as tools to eliminate manual work and free people to do more meaningful tasks. You think creatively about where RPA, AI, and modern tools can add the most value.
