Responsibilities

• BOM management: create, update, and structure multi-level BOMs.
• Coordinate and implement Engineering/Manufacturing Changes; ensure BOM version control.
• Audit part numbers, revisions, descriptions, and quantities between drawings and systems.
• Serve as central contact for Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
• Analyze, validate, and develop business and technical process requirements.
• Represent business units with project management and end users.
• Develop and coordinate business/user requirement specifications; ensure traceability.
• Develop hard copies and electronic reports; utilize analysis models and prototypes.
• Participate in developing requirements practices and engineering tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Observe laws, regulations and obligations; work safely per procedures.
• Occasional travel as required and expected.

Job Summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under general supervision with on-going review, this position is responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business processing systems. Assists in defining requirements and business cases for technology developments. Determines system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Performs activities which involve the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• BOM (Bill of Materials) Management experience preferred. Can create, update, and structure multi-level Bills of Materials for parts, subassemblies, and final products based on engineering specifications.
• Coordinate and implement Engineering Change (ECs) or Manufacturing Change (MCs), ensuring BOM version control.
• Perform regular audits to verify that part numbers, revisions, descriptions, and quantities match exactly between engineering drawings and production systems.
• Serve as the central point of contact for Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to resolve material discrepancies.
• Analyzes, validates and develops business and technical process requirements. Develops systems requirements, techniques, and controls. Assists with implementation efforts and requirements.
• Represents business units with project management and end users and may represent business unit with customers.
• Develops and coordinates business and user requirement specifications. Ensure consistency, traceability, feasibility and completeness. Recommend process improvement.
• Develop hard copies and electronic reports as required. Utilizes analysis models, prototypes and scenarios.
• May participate in the development and implementation of requirement practices and processes. May participate in the development of engineering policies, procedures and tools.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Must have general knowledge of business process/life cycle management principles, theories and concepts and a basic understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
• Strong command of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PLM/PDM systems (e.g., SAP, Teamcenter).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 2D/3D CAD specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail required, problem-solving skills, and data validation capabilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication to effectively interact with multiple departments and external vendors.
• Must be able to obtain an maintain a DOD secret clearance.

Job Type: Full-Time Salary

Salary range: 51,650 - 87,290
