Job summary

The Business Planning and Analysis Summer Intern at New Jersey Manufacturers Ins. will assist in monthly forecasting of financial statements and help prepare the annual budgets, gaining hands-on experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within a leading insurance company.

You will generate monthly and quarterly reports, support business units, participate in NJM seminars, and work on the Team Intern Project to research a business question and present it to NJM leaders.

Qualifications

• Interest in Property and Casualty Insurance Industry.
• Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or other related degree.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
• High level of intellectual curiosity.
• Effective communicator (verbal and written).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Desire to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Commutable to West Trenton, New Jersey Office.
• The Business Planning and Analysis intern can pay up to $22 hour. Starting Rate: $21.

Overview

The Business Planning and Analysis Summer Intern will help support the company’s forecasting and budgeting process. This candidate will demonstrate skills in financial planning, analysis, and reporting while participating in a range of analytical and data analysis activities which will help lead to increased efficiencies and revenue opportunities, as well as lower operational expense levels.
