Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Business Operations Manager to serve as a key interface with internal departments to facilitate evaluation of new opportunities, initiation of projects, development of proposals and support of Business Development in pre-sales client interface. This role interacts across the organization and carries varied responsibilities.

The position requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, driving proposal scope and budgets, and maintaining proposal templates

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience with proposals within the pharma industry.
• Advanced degree in Business desirable.
• 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determines proposal scope and budget by identifying opportunities and client needs, studying RFPs, and meeting with technical SMEs.
• Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
• Assists in gathering, organizing, evaluating, and forecasting sales data related to pricing and proposals.
• Drive interdepartmental communications to define project scope, budget, and timelines.
• Maintains quality results by using templates and following proposal-writing standards.
• Assists in maintaining proposal database.
• Builds relationships with Business Development and potential customers through frequent communication during the RFP cycle; provides technical support; defines scope and milestones; hosts client visits.
• Serves as communication conduit between site and potential customers.
• Recognizes trends in the business pipeline and helps identify strategic opportunities.
• Organizes and manages legal files and maintains the Business Development Master Index.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

The Business Operations Manager serves as a key interface with various internal departments to facilitate the evaluation of new opportunities, initiation of projects, development of proposals and support of Business Development in pre-sales client interface. • Determines proposal scope and budget by identifying and clarifying opportunities and client needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), and meeting with technical SMEs
• Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval
• Assists in efforts to gather, organize, evaluate, and forecast sales statistics and other data pertaining to pricing and proposal generation
• Drive interdepartmental communications to define project scope, budget, and timelines
• Maintains quality results by using templates and following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and flow
• Assists in maintaining proposal database
• Build relationships with Business Development team and potential customers through frequent communication during the RFP cycle, provide technical support, ensure project scope and milestones are well defined, and host client visits
• Serve as communication conduit between site and potential customers
• Recognizes and capitalizes on trends in the business pipeline and helps to identify strategic opportunities
• Organizing and management of legal files and maintaining the Business Development Master Index

Education / Experience
