Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Business Operations Manager Days – Full Time – Broadmoor Campus to lead a high performing Spend Management technology team. You will optimize, enhance, and support enterprise applications, data integrations, and analytics to improve financial and clinical performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spend Management, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
• 6+ years managing enterprise applications, ERPs or financial systems.
• 5+ years of people or project management supervision.
• 3+ years in performance improvement activities, including analyzing workflow processes.
• Advanced analytical and statistical skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems used in healthcare inventory management.
• Expertise in Supply Chain processes and related technology.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a team for day-to-day technology, workflow, and analytics support.
• Coach and mentor team members through industry best practices.
• Assign and manage workloads, priorities, and expectations to align with Spend Management's long term strategy.
• Establish team accountability for collaboration, communication, and performance.
• Oversee day to day support of all Spend Management applications.
• Ensure system stability and the resolution of issues impacting both operational and clinical end users.
• Manage request intake, escalations, and oversight of end user communication.
• Assist in analytics intake, prioritization, and implementation of new self-service analytics and dashboards.
• Identify areas to enhance clinical integration through advanced analytics that supports financial sustainability.
• Develop and maintain system policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Evaluate existing workflows for quality and efficiency improvements.
• Support technology implementations and the standardization of workflows.
• Work with departmental leaders to highlight best practice alignment opportunities.
• Track progress on key initiatives and communicate to stakeholders.

Position Title

Business Operations Manager Days – Full Time – Broadmoor Campus

Position Summary / Career Interest

This role leads a high performing team responsible for optimizing, enhancing, and supporting critical Spend Management technologies across the health system.

The position oversees day to day system support, data integrations, process improvement, self-service reporting, and the development of financial and clinical analytics. Through the adoption of industry best practices, this role helps to drive financial and clinically aligned performance.

This position partners closely with leaders across all Spend Management functional areas, finance, clinical departments, and all other ancillary areas that interact with Spend Management to help facilitate a better end user experience.

Additionally, this role helps to drive integration activities with new expansions within the health system as well as newly acquired hospitals through M&A activity. This focus helps to ensure adoption of health system standards by implementing current technologies, workflows, and ensuring strong data integration.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Develop and maintain system policies, procedures, and related workflows
• Evaluate existing workflows to identify areas of opportunity for quality and efficiency improvements
• Support technology implementations and enhancements, including the standardization of workflows
• Work with departmental leaders to highlight best practice alignment opportunities
• Track progress on key initiatives and projects and communicate to stakeholders and leaders per the established cadence
• Support compliance with operational, financial, and revenue related health system standards

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Spend Management, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. 6 or more years of experience in managing enterprise applications, ERPs or financial systems. 5 or more years of people or project management supervision. 3 or more years of experience in managing performance improvement activities, including analyzing workflow processes.
