Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System seeks a Business Operations Manager to lead a high-performing Spend Management team. You will oversee day-to-day system support, data integrations, and analytics development, driving clinical and financial performance through best practices and strong data integration.

You will partner with finance, clinical departments, and other stakeholders to standardize workflows and implement new analytics and dashboards across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 6+ years of experience managing enterprise applications, ERPs or financial systems.
• 5+ years of people or project management supervision.
• 3+ years of experience in managing performance improvement activities, including analyzing workflow processes.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a team responsible for day-to-day technology, workflow, and analytics support.
• Coach and mentor team members through knowledge sharing and industry best practices.
• Assign and manage workloads, priorities, and expectations to align with Spend Management's long term strategy.
• Establish team accountability for collaboration, communication, and performance.
• Oversee day to day support of all Spend Management applications.
• Ensure system stability and the resolution of issues for operational and clinical end users.
• Manage request intake, escalations, and oversight of end user communication.
• Assist in analytics intake, prioritization, and implementation of new self-service analytics and dashboards.
• Identify areas to enhance clinical integration through advanced analytics that supports financial sustainability.
• Develop and maintain system policies, procedures, and related workflows.
• Evaluate existing workflows to identify opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements.
• Support technology implementations and enhancements, including standardization of workflows.
• Work with departmental leaders to highlight best practice alignment opportunities.
• Track progress on key initiatives and communicate to stakeholders per cadence.
• Support compliance with operational, financial, and revenue related health system standards.

Required Education And Experience
