Job summary

Sensory Kids Therapy Services is a growing pediatric occupational and speech therapy clinic in North Liberty, Iowa. We seek a hands-on Business Operations Manager to lead growth by developing team, strengthening systems, and supporting financial health.

Work with the owner and clinical leadership to shape clinic operations, staffing, processes, and financial foundations for expanding access to services for children and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare administration, human resources, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in business operations, staff supervision, and team development.
  • Practical financial management experience, including budgeting, financial reporting, expense management, and collections.
  • Experience implementing systems and managing organizational growth or change preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback, address performance concerns, and support consistent follow-through.
  • Healthcare or therapy practice experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with owner and clinical leadership.
  • Willingness to take a hands-on role in a small, growing clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedule utilization with scheduling staff by filling openings, addressing cancellations, managing waitlists, and following up on referrals.
  • Lead and develop staff through clear communication, coaching, and supervision to support strong performance and consistent adherence to SOPs, handbook policies, and clinic protocols.
  • Take a hands-on role in financial oversight, including budgets, collections, billing follow-through, payroll review, expenses, and cash flow. Review profit‑and‑loss reports and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee administrative staff and daily workflows to support efficient operations and responsive communication with families.
  • Coordinate human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Improve SOPs and systems, coordinate safety and compliance efforts with clinical leadership, and manage priority projects that support growth.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), make operational decisions within established authority, and keep the owner informed of results, priorities, and concerns.

Job Summary

Sensory Kids Therapy Services is a growing pediatric occupational and speech therapy clinic in North Liberty, Iowa. We are seeking a hands‑on Business Operations Manager to help lead our next stage of growth by developing our team, strengthening business systems, and supporting the clinic’s financial health and sustainable growth.

Working directly with the owner and clinical leadership, you will have the opportunity to shape how our clinic operates and scales. Your work will help create the staffing, processes, and financial foundation needed to expand access to services for children and families.

Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits

This is an on‑site position with part‑time or full‑time options. Compensation will be based on experience, responsibilities, and agreed weekly hours, with eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses tied to established KPIs. Benefits are available to full‑time employees.
