Job summary

The American Red Cross in Arcadia, CA is seeking a part-time Business Operations Coordinator II to support finance, operations, HR, IT and reporting. The role trains users on business applications and provides regional operations backup within a hybrid schedule, requiring 20 hours per week and travel to other chapters in the region.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 years of financial/admin support.

  • Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Business or Public Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of financial or facilities administrative support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative budget support: expense coding, financial report dissemination, forecasting analysis, procurement transactions, and ensuring programs operate within budget.
  • Lead system user/training for Business Applications and IT Services; troubleshoot and support regional tech needs.
  • Maintain insurance certificate applications and financial collection processes; manage codes for regulated items.
  • Provide data for grant reports and respond to information requests; support regional SOP development.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute a regional Standard Operating Procedures Manual to ensure consistent regional operations.

Lead system user/trainer for software business applications and provide operations backup support. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.This role is not eligible for relocation. This role is part time, 20 hours per week, hybrid. While this role will report to the Arcadia office 2 days per week, must be comfortable visiting other chapter offices in the region.*The salary range for this position is (CA): $22.10-$23.50/ht.**Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. May coordinate and train volunteers to assist with less complex daily transactional work.* Lead system user/training for Business Applications and IT Services using the appropriate system to troubleshoot phone and computer issues for Region and assist with tech services requests.* Maintain insurance certificate applications, financial collection processes, and appropriate forms and codes used for regulated items including alcohol to support meeting planning.* Provide guidance and data for grant reports and respond to internal/external requests for information and/or documentation.* Develop, maintain, and distribute a regional Standard Operating Procedures Manual to ensure consistent processes/procedures related to operations functions throughout the Region.Scope: Full knowledge of job.
