Job summary

PowerSchool is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business and IT, translating needs into robust system requirements and enhancements. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to deliver end-to-end solutions and support UAT, training, and governance across enterprise systems.

The role emphasizes SDLC/Agile/SAFe practices, strong documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize processes and drive measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as CRM/Salesforce, ERP, HRIS, or data/reporting systems
  • Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and/or SAFe methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language (and vice versa)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and system requirements. This role focuses onoptimizingbusiness processes, supporting system enhancements, and enabling effective use of enterprise systems to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSM,SAFeAgilist) or business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $83,800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
