Job summary

MPF Federal, LLC is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support a DoD acquisition office at Fort Belvoir. The role focuses on moving contract actions, building acquisition packages, and turning data into actionable metrics for leadership.

The candidate will manage formal files and ensure audit readiness in a highly regulated environment. Optimal candidates hold an active TS/SCI clearance with NATO SECRET read-on and a PMP credential, plus strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain official contract files in line with regulations for CORs.
• Prepare pre-award documents including acquisition plans, milestones, SOWs, and PWSs.
• Assist IGCE development and perform price/cost analyses.
• Conduct market research and draft sole-source/brand-name justifications.
• Prepare routine correspondence, route for signature, track status and file actions.
• Coordinate funding, waivers, certifications, and approvals with officials.
• Build and maintain automated tracking/reporting for contracting metrics, milestones, schedules.
• Evaluate processes and implement improvements.
• Track internal taskers and training compliance; resolve gaps.
• Support GFEBS and other procurement/tracking systems.
• Write process documentation and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between acquisition team, leadership, and stakeholders.

About the role

MPF Federal is hiring a Business Operations Analyst to support a DoD acquisition office at Fort Belvoir. You'll be the person who keeps contract actions moving: building acquisition packages, keeping official files audit-ready, and turning contracting data into metrics leadership can act on. If you know your way around a PWS and an IGCE and like making processes run better, this role gives you room to do both.

Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (100% onsite)

Type: Full-time, hourly

Pay: $43.00 to $53.00 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and qualifications

Clearance: Active TS/SCI required before start, plus a NATO SECRET read-on

What you’ll do

• Support Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) by maintaining official contract files in line with applicable regulations
• Prepare pre-award documents (excluding inherently governmental functions per FAR Subpart 7.5), including acquisition plans, milestones, SOWs, and PWSs
• Help develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and perform price and cost analysis
• Conduct market research and draft sole-source and brand-name justifications for procurement packages
• Prepare routine correspondence, route actions for signature, track status, and file completed actions
• Coordinate funding, waivers, certifications, and approvals with the right officials
• Build and maintain automated tracking and reporting for contracting metrics, milestones, and schedules
• Evaluate acquisition processes and recommend and implement improvements
• Track internal taskers and training compliance, and help resolve gaps
• Support GFEBS and other procurement and tracking systems
• Write process documentation and procedures
• Serve as a liaison between the acquisition team, leadership, and stakeholders on contract status and metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems or Technology, Public Administration, or Economics
• Active TS/SCI clearance before start, plus a NATO SECRET read-on
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration (operations or supply chain focus), Public Administration, Procurement and Contract Management, Data Analytics or Business Intelligence, or Information Systems
• Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)
• Experience with GFEBS, PIEE, or PD2
• Experience building contracting metrics dashboards or trackers
