FanDuel is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Payments and Fraud Business Operations team. The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for developing and performing data analysis to detect and prevent fraud & optimize our support function. The Business Operations Analyst will partner with internal teams to contribute to our Fraud and support Strategy across all FanDuel’s products (Sportsbook, Casino, Daily Fantasy, etc). This includes working with a wide range of teams from Analytics, Payments, Product, Legal, and Commercial, to innovate and optimize fraud & support strategies all with the goal of a customer first experience to help optimize our support team and build strategies to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Partner with Internal and External Stakeholders to support and optimize our entire Payments stack, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Assist with day-to-day analyses and problem identification
  • Analyze and identify fraud schemes, assessing existing preventative controls, and make recommendations for additional measures
  • Apply critical thinking skills to recognize patterns and trends within transactional and customer data to
    detect, prevent, mitigate, and report potentially suspicious activity
  • Support the creation and maintenance of real time reporting dashboards along with data integrity verification
  • Improve processes, automate tasks, and develop new solutions while balancing customer and operational impacts
  • Preparation and maintenance of Fraud metrics reporting for Business Leaders & Executive team
    consumption

THE STATS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of complexity, ambiguity, changing priorities and flex based on demand
  • Extremely detail oriented with superb organizational skills.
  • SQL proficiency
  • Python / R experience preferred
  • Strong ability to create excel models and presentations
  • Working knowledge of fraud systems.
  • Knowledge of sports betting and online gambling a huge plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $66,000 - $83,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
