Job summary

Siemens Healthineers AG is seeking an Operational Excellence Consultant in Cary, NC, to drive cross-functional improvement initiatives that boost productivity, quality, and customer experience across the organization. The role reports to the Operational Excellence leadership and requires 5–7 years of related experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong analytical and communication skills.

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Power BI experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Consulting, Operations, Process Improvement, Project Management, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or operational initiatives with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operational excellence initiatives from problem identification through implementation and benefit realization.
• Monitor operational and performance KPIs to proactively identify emerging risks, trends, and issues, providing early insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with business leaders and functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and address operational challenges.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to define issues, identify root causes, develop recommendations, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, process reviews, and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and support decision-making.
• Develop business cases that quantify benefits, costs, risks, and success measures.
• Lead cross-functional project teams without direct authority to drive execution and accountability.
• Establish KPIs, controls, and reporting processes to sustain improvements.
• Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Operational Excellence Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying, leading, and implementing operational improvement initiatives that drive productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer experience improvements across the organization. This role serves as an internal consultant, partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions to solve complex business challenges using data analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies, and effective change management practices. The successful candidate will independently lead cross-functional initiatives while collaborating closely with Operational Excellence leadership to align efforts with organizational priorities.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, medical device, field service, or other complex operational environments.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with Lean, DMAIC, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, or similar methodologies.
• Experience using Power BI or related reporting and visualization tools.

This is a Hybrid position. Must be in the office at times.

The base pay range for this position is:

$89,220 - $122,672

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
