Responsibilities

Provide operational support to the facility by performing various business office functions. These functions include (but are not limited to): Human Resources, Medical Records, Credentialing, Admissions/Intake, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Clinical Logs, month-end reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Business Office team and functions to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Responsible for direct supervision of non-medical personnel, including orientation, ongoing coaching, and annual evaluations
  • Responsible for human resource procedures
  • Act as a working manager and backup to all business office teammates
  • Ensure that administrative and accounting procedures are carried out timely and accurately, and monitor reports
  • Manage office supplies and equipment; serve as the main contact for building maintenance items
  • Act as liaison with billing companies, building maintenance, and housekeeping services, including contract evaluation and negotiations
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of payroll and forward to corporate for processing
  • Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to ensure efficient overall operations and report activities to the Administrator
  • Work with the Administrator to promote the utilization of the Surgery Center
  • Interpret and implement contracts with third-party payers accurately
  • Answer telephones as needed
  • Demonstrate competency in performing job tasks and operating equipment annually
  • Perform other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required (Bachelor's preferred), or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a medically-related environment required; surgery center experience a plus
  • Experience supervising non-medical staff required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Experience with patient admissions, scheduling, and medical office operations desired
  • Understanding of insurance processes, including verification, required
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software, and other relevant applications
  • Experience with SharePoint and SurveyMonkey preferred but not required
  • Good communication skills and phone etiquette

Salary range: USD $48,300.00/Yr. to USD $86,100.00/Yr.
