Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Office Manager to oversee the administrative activities of our senior living community. This full-time position operates from 9am-5pm. Reporting directly to the Administrator, you will ensure that proper administrative procedures are maintained in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative supervisory role in a healthcare setting.
  • Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience in collections and healthcare billing in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Experience with Medicaid billing.
  • Experience with Medicare A, Medicare B, and Insurance billing.
  • Experience with MDS coding.
  • Working understanding of New Hampshire Medicaid eligibility rules.
  • Knowledge of New Hampshire Medicaid, including Case Mix Index scoring.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficiency with office equipment, including computers, data entry, and word processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Functions: Oversee business office operations, including policies, procedures, and coordination with other departments.
  • Accounting Functions: Plan, organize, and direct accounting functions, including financial records, monthly statements, and invoice management.
  • Personnel Functions: Assist with office staffing needs, employee performance evaluations, and training of administrative personnel.
  • Staff Development: Attend workshops and seminars to stay updated on long-term care regulations and maintain professional status.
