Highland Chateau Health + Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to join our team. The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business and financial operations of the facility while providing excellent service to residents, families, employees, and outside partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has strong knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, resident financial services, and office administration.
Oversee the daily operations of the Business Office.
Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and financial records.
Process and monitor resident payments and maintain accurate account balances.
Work with residents and families regarding billing questions, payments, insurance, and financial documentation.
Coordinate Medicaid applications, eligibility information, and ongoing Medicaid documentation as applicable.
Monitor Medicare, Medicaid, private-pay, managed care, and other payer accounts.
Follow up on outstanding balances and denied or unpaid claims.
Maintain accurate resident financial records and documentation.
Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
Prepare and submit required financial reports and documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information.
Work closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Social Services, Admissions, and other departments.
Assist with audits and ensure business office records are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Supervise, train, and support Business Office staff as applicable.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and applicable payer requirements.
Provide professional and compassionate customer service to residents and their families.
Perform other administrative and financial duties as assigned.
Previous experience in a business office, accounting, billing, or healthcare administrative role preferred.
Long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or healthcare billing experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized billing/accounting systems.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
