Avir at Hamlin is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee accounting, payroll, personnel, and medical records for a nursing home facility in Hamlin, TX. The role includes handling accounts payable, reporting, and front-office duties, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
Ideal candidates have prior nursing home billing experience, strong organization, and the ability to manage confidential information under pressure.
The Business Office Manger organizes and performs business office functions to include accounting,
payroll, personnel, bookkeeping, secretarial, and medical records.
Maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Texas Department of Health Laws and Regulations.
Responsible for copying and mailing accounts payable documents on a timely basis to the
corporate office.
Prepares and submits reports and various correspondence.
Maintains an organized filing system for various office records and reports.
May answers incoming phone calls and greets the public in the front office.
Maintains adequate supply of office products within budget.
Performs resident admissions tasks such as: telephone or persona inquiries, tours.
Reviews resident billings monthly, performs follow-up for second notices.
Maintains a facility petty cash box.
Performs functions associated with a resident spending account to include ledger cards, checking
accounts, and a petty cash box of $200 (if required).
Serves as the Mentor Coordinator and performs all Mentor Program functions for the facility.
Fills out deposit report for central office.
Delivers deposits to the band in Administrator's absence.
Update resident, responsible party, and employee addresses and telephone lists.
Performs other business office duties as directed by the Administrator.
Assists Social Service designee with medical records.
Calculates ancillary charges.
May maintains all personnel records, assists with vacation and sick leave accruals.
Other duties as assigned, with or without reasonable accommodations, to assist in maintaining
quality standards and maintaining the facility as a viable and successful entity.
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous office experience preferred
Previous nursing home experience preferred
Experience with insurance billing required
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Ability to remain calm under stress.
