THRYVE of Burbank is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to join our team. As Business Office Manager, you will oversee accounts receivable, billing operations, and resident financial services within the facility. Your work will help ensure accurate financial management while providing residents and families with professional, responsive, and compassionate service.
Manage all accounts receivable functions, including private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance billing.
Ensure Public Aid applications are completed within 7 days of admission in coordination with Admissions and residents' families.
Enroll residents in direct deposit through RFMS and maintain accurate daily status reporting.
Conduct weekly collection calls and document all collection efforts in the PCC Collections Tab.
Complete Medicaid Redetermination forms promptly upon receipt with all required supporting documentation.
Reconcile resident trust accounts monthly and ensure resident insurance premiums are paid by the 5th of each month.
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for all residents upon admission and on an ongoing basis.
Attend Medicare Meetings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of resident payer sources and coverage.
Serve as a liaison between the Corporate Office and residents' families regarding billing and financial questions.
Complete daily census and deposits and submit credit card payments to the AR Specialist for posting.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on unpaid accounts to support timely collections.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with Admissions, Nursing, Social Services, Reimbursement, and facility leadership to resolve billing and payer-related issues.
Perform other business office duties as assigned by facility and corporate leadership.

2+ years of experience as a Business Office Manager or in a healthcare billing role, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay billing processes.
Experience with PCC, RFMS, or similar healthcare billing and EHR platforms preferred.
Familiarity with Public Aid applications, Medicaid Pending processes, and DHS procedures.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and facility leadership.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and resident information professionally.
